Topography of the cornea and the front sections of the eye

Topography of the cornea - Sirius
The more accurate the measurements and the resulting diagnosis, the better the results of the laser treatment.
This is why we work with the SCHWIND SIRIUS. This equipment allows a three-dimensional analysis of the front section of the eye - from the anterior of the cornea to the rear of the lens.
In detail, this means:
- Topographical analysis of the anterior and rear sides of the cornea
- Measurement of the corneal thickness (pachymetry) across the entire corneal area, determination of the thinnest area of the cornea
- Analysis of the complete corneal wavefront
- Analysis of the front chamber
- Screening of the keratokonus
- The measurement data offer the basis for corneal wavefront treatment with the Excimer laser
- The cyclorotational correction compensates for differences between the sitting and laying position of the patient. This allows even more accurate correction of astigmatism
- An integrated pupillometer measures pupil size under standardised light conditions as well as their dynamic course
