Corneal Wavefront Analyzer

Corneal Wavefront Analyzer Lasik Zentrum Pforzheim Dr. Haug

At the LASIK Zentrum Pforzheim Dr Haug, we use the Corneal Wavefront Analyzer from SCHWIND. This is a topographical device, which allows analysis of corneal wavefront data and thus a particularly precise diagnosis in the case of symptomatic aberrations of the cornea. The very high resolution of one micrometer detects the slightest irregularities, making the Corneal Wavefront Analyzer a perfect analytical tool for the preparation of different refractive corrections.

The corneal wavefront documents the type and size of all the imaging errors arising on the anterior surface of the cornea and enables a more targeted and tissue-sparing correction than topo-link-based systems. The majority of aberrations in the human eye occur in the corneal area. The defects are thus corrected at the place they occur, that is, on the anterior surface of the cornea. The corneal wavefront enables very precise diagnostics and thus an individual ablation on the cornea to attain a perfect result. Taking a model of the eye into account, the deviations in the optical path length and the aberrations are described mathematically using so-called Zernike polynomials and converted into individual, tailor-made ablation profiles using the SCHWIND Custom Ablation Manager.

Hi-tech is very important for the success of the treatment.

We hold regular, non-binding information evenings on the topic of refractive laser treatment.

We can offer our patients the latest developments in the field of refractive laser treatment.
