Correction of complex visual defects using wavefront treatment Wavefront treatment

If more complex visual defects of a higher order restrict your vision, then they can be corrected precisely based on a wavefront treatment. For this, a wavefront analysis must first be carried out. The analysis is very detailed and is performed on the eye at the preliminary examination. The wavefront data is used during treatment and enables an individually-exact, adapted laser treatment.
At the Lasik Zentrum Pforzheim Dr Haug, we use Corneal Wavefront. It has become established as a successful method for the correction of "problematic eyes" and documents the type and size of all the higher order visual defects on the front corneal surface. Corneal Wavefront thus allows very accurate diagnosis and treatment. Around 80 percent of higher order visual defects occur in the corneal area and only 20 percent in the lens and vitreous humour.
When is a wavefront treatment appropriate?
- If your visual acuity is impaired by visual defects of a higher order
- For visual defects which cannot be successfully corrected by aberration-free treatment
- In irregular astigmatism
- For recorrection
During the thorough preliminary examination, Dr Haug will determine whether wavefront treatment is required in your case. He will discuss individual possibilities with you in detail.
